To search for items across all projects, simply type what you're looking for in the search box, press done or enter, and the quadrants across all the lists will instantly show only items that match your search. Priority Matrix combines this search with your other filters, like showing only unfinished items. Use those features to further refine your results.

Check that you aren’t searching for items in your search filter, and that your viewing modes are set appropriately. First, clear your search filter. Then, check that your viewing mode is set to “Show all items”. If you are still having trouble, we may be able to help. Drop us a line using the support page on our website.

You are probably in sorted mode (alphabetical, by date, etc). Set Priority Matrix to manual order mode and try again.

Tap on an item to enter edit mode, then tap on the icon to bring up the icon selection choices. You can scroll through the icons with a left-to-right swipe and choose icons that you find fitting for your item.

Absolutely. To send a specific quadrant by email: tap on the email icon. You will have 5 choices, tap the middle to send all your quadrants, or tap one of the four corners to send the individual quadrants. An image is automatically attached to all your emails depending on your email selection. Email is supported at different levels across our different versions. We keep improving them all.

Just drag it to the plus sign, trash can or checkmark button, and we'll take care of the rest. On the Mac, you can also use standard copy/cut/paste and other keyboard shortcuts.

Activate the due-item badge: exit Priority Matrix, go to Settings, turn on the Badge. This is updated each time you open the app. This feature currently works on the iPhone and iPad only.

Sync lets you access your data from any device that runs Priority Matrix. You can take quick notes at the cafeteria or while waiting to board your flight. Even if you only have one device, you can use sync to back up your data!

Your device connects to our cloud servers and checks for updates. Any changes you made are uploaded and we store them. If another device made changes, they show up on your current one. In case of conflict between two editions on the same item, the latest one remains.

In the sync screen of your app, there's a "reset password" button. Write a new password and click that button. We will send you an email with a link to confirm the change.

Not currently, although we are considering it.

We are working on that; Good things require good work. For now you can tap the sync button and make it work at your discretion.

Use the multi-touch capabilities in your iPad! With one finger, hold an item and start dragging it. With another finger, tap on the destination project. Then drop the item at the right location. Really, it's easier than it sounds.

Easy: Export the list by pressing the quadrant icon in the free iPhone app, and then export list. Email this to yourself, and open the email from your iPhone (or iPad). Tap on the .Pmatrix file. Select "Open in Priority Matrix", and voila, you're done!

Not really, but if you turn your phone sideways, you'll have a little more space to work with. Alternatively, try our iPad or Mac versions!

Just hold the item and drag it toward the side of the screen. If you have more than one project, you'll see them slide left or right. Drop the item at the right location.

Use the free sync service. Your data is shows automagically on your Mac, and changes can be transferred back and forth with just a couple of clicks. Additionally, you can import/export .pmatrix files from the “File/Export PMatrix File...”

Click on the color palette button, which will bring up a color selection window. Choose your favorite color (pink?) and drag it onto the items of the quadrant you want to recolor.

You can use copy/cut/paste operations on items. That is, first click on an item and then go to menu "Edit/Copy". Next, go to the destination project, click on the desired quadrant, and then select "Edit/Paste." If you want to eliminate the item from the original project, use "Cut" instead of "Copy."

We are continuously improving all our software. The Mac version is the youngest, and thus some features are still making their way over. If you have any preference over what to implement sooner rather than later, please do let us know in the "contact us" page!

In the past we've had some corner case problems. First thing, update to the latest version. If your problems remain, simply restart your device with a complete power down. This helps with memory-related issues. If you're still in trouble, drop us a line.
